The New York State Access Codes is a single-source, State-specific, code manual to assist the design professional, architect and builder to make buildings or facilities accessible to the disabled. It utilizes text and full-page graphics to help clarify complicated and oftentimes confusing accessibility issues with the Americans with Disabilities Act code requirements for the State of New York.
All applicable code books that have been adopted by the State of New York are assembled in a user-friendly method to achieve a simplified approach to the understanding and implementation of accessibility codes.
Note: This code became effective at the beginning of 2008.
