Make sure you're following the current building code enforced in Pennsylvania!

Pennsylvania's Statewide Building Code is referred to as the Uniform Construction Code (UCC).

The initial election period, during which all of Pennsylvania's 2,565 municipalities were allowed to decide whether the Uniform Construction Code (UCC) would be administered and enforced locally, officially closed on August 7, 2004.

The codes adopted for use under the UCC in the state of Pennsylvania are the 2003 International Codes issued by the International Code Council. No supplements to the 2003 codes are adopted for use. The next code change will occur at the end of 2006 in relation to the adoption of the 2006 International Codes.

Specifically, the 2003 Pennsylvania Building Code is the paperback version of the 2003 International Building Code, and is the current building code being enforced.
